The PCP Committee on Climate Change, Environment and Health invites you to its upcoming webinar entitled "The Truth About Medical Wastes", happening on October 16, 2025 (Thursday) at 6:00 PM via Zoom webinar.
Tree upkeep refers to clearing out weeds within one meter perimeter of newly planted or young trees. Clearing and tree planting activities comprise preparing the soil by digging a hole twice the depth of the root ball before planting the seedlings. There must be at least one meter space between seedlings.
General Guidelines for Participation in tree upkeep or clearing/tree planting activities
1. Inform Ms. Camille Lopez of schedule (date, time), names of participants, and activity. For tree planting activities, available ornamental trees include ylang-ylang, cedar, bottlebrush, etc.
2. Minimum number of participants per activity is 10 persons, with at least one PCP-NL member. Participants are advised to bring their own gardening tools, work gloves, water, and wear protection against mosquito bites.
3. Sign in using the designated logbook for tracking purposes.
4. Take an initial time-stamped photo of desired work area.
5. To be credited the CGS unit, a minimum of one hour of work is required. You can earn a maximum of 1 CGS unit for tree upkeep and 1 CGS point for tree planting.
6. Take a time-stamped photo of the work area at the end of the period that includes PCP-NL members who participated.
7. Sign out using the designated logbook.
8. Post at least one before and one after photo on your Facebook page and tag the official PCP NL Facebook page or submit via email (pcp.northernluzon@gmail.com or Viber to +639952006308.
9. For tree planting activities, please submit the number and species of seedlings planted for tracking purposes.
